ABOUT Studio BaBa

Michael Levine has been writing music all his life and recording music for over 25 years. When his son was 1 year old, he called drums "ba ba", and always wanted to go to "studio ba ba" to play drums with daddy.  And there began the new name of the studio!

Michael is the music producer for the NY Times #1 Bestselling Pete The Cat picture books by Eric Litwin, and the co-founder of The Learning Groove music & movement with Eric as well.  They have recorded 7 CDs and 9 musical picture books including over 150 interactive children's songs recorded in over 50 styles of music.

He has produced in the studio with artists such as Shawn Mullins, Eric Litwin (Pete the Cat) and musicians who have played with John Mayer, Zac Brown Band, Dave Matthews Band and more.

As a singer-songwriter, he has opened for such acts as Dave Matthews Band, Joe Walsh, Counting Crows and Live, and his songs Breakdown and Gravity have received widespread radio play.

In the studio, Michael produces, engineers, performs, edits, arranges, mixes and masters.  He can play guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, drums, percussion, basic keyboards and sing lead or harmony vocals.  Plus he has a robust roster of top-notch musicians available to play on your recordings.

Studio BaBa has the highest quality recording interfaces, preamps, microphones and instruments as well as sound-proofed and tuned rooms that are comfortable to play and create in.
